A USB stick will confirm if you are infected with HIV

Tencent Digital (Wen Xin) According to Ubergizmo website, technological advancement has promoted the development of medical care and will continue to promote the development of medical care in the future. British scientists invented USB sticks that can detect HIV.

The London Imperial College scientists and technology company DNA Electronics developed this device. The USB stick can detect HIV-1 levels with just a drop of blood, and the electrical signals it generates can be transmitted to computers or portable devices to provide inspection results.

Ubergizmo said that HIV patients can use this one-time testing device to monitor their own treatment. It is especially suitable for patients living in remote areas. Patients in these areas may not be able to enjoy standard medical examination services.

The detection accuracy of this USB stick is quite high, and results can be achieved in less than 30 minutes, much faster than traditional detection methods: sending blood samples to a laboratory and waiting for the results, the entire process may last up to 3 days.

Ubergizmo said that in the detection of 991 blood samples, the accuracy of this USB stick was 95%, and the average time for the results was 21 minutes. At present, this technology is still in the early stages of development and will continue to be improved in the future.

Scientists are considering using the same method for detecting other viruses.
