Although the MMG method can improve the cutting efficiency, since the same mother glass cuts two different sizes, the yield rate will decrease, and at the same time, the output produced by the elongated unit time of the production cycle will decrease. LGD is the first panel manufacturer to introduce MMG in the world, with rich technology experience and stable technology. In order to expand the 65” and 75” markets, LGD is reviewing the plan for the full adoption of MMG for the 8.5th generation Guangzhou Line. The Guangzhou 65” plus 32” MMG has already begun to produce output, and this year’s 75” plus 49” MMG program began production. Samsung demonstrated that the 8.5-generation line in Suzhou and the Yujing L8-1 also used 65” plus 32” MMG for production shipments. At the same time, it continued to increase the output of the Tangui L7-2 single-cut 75”. At present, the proportion of MMG in the Suzhou Plant has exceeded half, and the proportion of the L8-1 and the proportion of the MMG in the Suzhou Line has been under intense discussion.

In fact, Samsung Display and LGD's output of 65” and 75” this year has been the highest level so far. At present, LGD's 75” output is at 30K/M, and Samsung’s display is at 50K/M, which increases the proportion of MMG. Production will further increase.

BOE 10.5 line mass production in 2018 will promote the rapid development of oversized TVs. CINNO Research data shows that in 2018, TV panel shipments with 60′′ and above will increase to 22 million, and by 2022, it will exceed 40 million. 65" and 75" will be the main products.
