The circuit consists of a power supply circuit, an infrared control circuit, and a high voltage circuit. In the circuit, the power supply circuit is composed of a power transformer TR, a bridge rectifier diode VD1 ~ VD4, a filter capacitor C4, C5 and a three-terminal voltage regulator integrated circuit IC2: the infrared control circuit is composed of an infrared light emitting diode HR1, an infrared photodiode HR2, a triode VT, Resistors R1 to R6, capacitors C1 to C3, integrated circuit IC1, light-emitting diode HR, and solid state relay Κ.
AC 220 V voltage is reduced by TR, VD1 ~ VD4 rectification, C5 filtering and IC2 voltage regulation, providing +6 V working voltage for the infrared control circuit. The oscillating signal output by IC5's 5-pin is amplified by VT, and HR1 is driven to emit modulated infrared light. Normally (when no mouse enters the infrared detection area), HR2 can't receive the infrared light emitted by HR1, IC1 is in automatic oscillation state, its 8 feet output high level, HR3 does not light, K and high voltage circuit do not work.
When a mouse enters the infrared detection range, the infrared light reflected from the mouse body is received by the HR, so that the 8-pin of IC1 changes from high level to low level, HR3 lights up, and Κ is energized, and the high-voltage electrode is generated. High pressure kills the mouse. When the dead mouse is removed (power should be cut off), HR3 is turned off again, IC1's 3 pin loses the input signal, 8 pin becomes high level, HR, goes out, Κ and high voltage circuits stop working, and the circuit returns to the waiting state. The high voltage part consists of solid state relay K, resistor R7, capacitors C6, C7, C8, diodes VD5, VD6 and high voltage electrodes.
The high voltage electrode can be made using a thin bare metal wire or a copper plate. This circuit is directly connected to the mains, and must pay attention to the personal safety of itself and others. In the place where the power grid is set up, an obvious signboard should be set up to warn others that the power grid should be careful.
