Transparent conductive indium tin oxide (ITO) films have been widely used in flat panel displays, solar cells, light emitting diodes, special function window coatings and other optoelectronic fields, but due to their limitations in price and flexibility, ITO films have become a development One of the obstacles of flexible electronics. As a typical representative of one-dimensional nanomaterials, single-walled carbon nanotubes have many excellent and unique optical, electrical and mechanical properties, so they present a wide range of application prospects. The single-walled carbon nanotube film has good characteristics in terms of conductivity, light transmission and flexibility, which has also attracted widespread attention, and has become a new research hotspot in the application of carbon nanotubes in optoelectronic devices.


Researchers have now developed an optimized carbon nanotube film technology, which significantly improves the conductivity of the film while ensuring good light transmittance. They used a multi-step purification method to remove some residues (such as surfactants) in the film to provide film conductivity. In addition, combined with the chemical modification method, they proposed a sandwich carbon nanotube film structure. The results show that the conductivity of the film is further improved. Finally, the optimized carbon nanotube film replaced ITO as the anode, and successfully prepared an organic light-emitting diode (as shown). The above research results are expected to provide a new foundation for the application of conductive and transparent carbon nanotube films in optoelectronic devices.
