It is understood that PET is mainly used for pathological diagnosis of tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and also for screening for related diseases. At present, clinical all-digital PET has been clinically validated in the first hospital and affiliated cancer hospital affiliated to Zhongshan University of Guangzhou for the safety and effectiveness of imaging medical diagnosis.

Xie Qingguo led the team to develop all-digital PET, using digital PET technology with independent intellectual property rights, featuring “all digital” and “precise sampling”, which can detect various tumors including tumors earlier and more accurately than traditional equipment. The lesion, known as the "cancer early warning machine", has broad application prospects in the early detection of difficult diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's syndrome.
