With the increase in the number of plant protection drones, there are more novices who directly enter the flying defense plant protection industry without training, and some safety accidents have occurred in the past two years. Therefore, we have launched the "Guidelines for Safe Operation of Plant Protection UAVs" for pilots, so that novices can follow the guidelines to complete flight defense operations more safely and efficiently.

In the process of preparation, survey, operation, transfer, accommodation, etc., plant protection pilots need to pay attention to avoid injury from pesticides and plant protection drones.

1. Self-protection

The flight defense operation of the plant protection drone is completely isolated from the operation area, so the operator's work is safer, but the necessary safety measures are still indispensable. The operator of the plant protection machine should wear a sun hat, mask, glasses, and protective clothing. On this basis, the ground crew should also wear nitrile gloves to avoid contamination of their hands with pesticides.

In addition, it is forbidden to wear shorts and slippers for work to avoid damage caused by mosquito and snake bites. Water shoes should also be worn when working in the southern paddy field.

2. Dispensing protection

Dispensing personnel should perform the dispensing in an open space in accordance with the operating requirements of the secondary dilution method under the premise of wearing protective equipment. It is forbidden to dispense medicine in a confined space, downwind, etc.

Some plant protection teams use disposable plastic film gloves, which are inflexible and have poor durability and applicability, which cannot guarantee the safety of dispensing personnel. Good quality nitrile rubber gloves should be used, which are not only durable, but also impermeable and corrosion resistant.

3. Pharmaceutical use

The concentration of the liquid medicine used by Feifang is high, so highly toxic and highly toxic pesticides must not be used, otherwise it is very likely to cause pesticide poisoning. Unlabeled pesticides are also not allowed, otherwise the toxicity of pesticides cannot be judged, and poor efficacy or pesticide poisoning may occur.

4. Aircraft inspection and operation

The following should be noted:

1) If the aircraft has been idle for a long time or moved to a long distance, the aircraft should be calibrated with a magnetic compass to avoid abnormalities;

2) Check the joystick mode before taking off to avoid wrong joystick mode;

3) Before taking off, confirm that the remote control and battery are sufficiently charged to prevent the remote control from being too low and out of control;

4) Confirm that the arms and propellers are deployed before takeoff.

5. Operation instructions

The following rules must be observed during operation:

1) Personnel are not allowed to be under the plant protection machine;

2) Keep a safe distance of more than 5 meters between personnel and the plant protection drone in operation;

3) The plant protection drone can only approach after the ground propeller has completely stopped;

4) Pay attention to the surrounding telegraph poles, stay cables, and high-voltage lines to avoid impact.

6. Work schedule

Regarding the operating time, the following should be noted:

1) Avoid continuous operation at noon in high temperature weather, not only the medicine is not effective, but also easy to heat stroke;

2) Avoid long-term continuous operation or even overnight operation. If you have been working overnight, you should avoid driving to prevent car accidents. At present, there are related cases of continuous operation without rest in the industry.

7. Transport

At present, there are two different working vehicles. Mini-cars and vans are simple and convenient but cannot realize the separation of man and machine, while vehicles with rear compartments such as small trucks can realize the separation of man and machine. If the human and the machine are not separated, the people in the vehicle may be poisoned by inhaling pesticides. Therefore, the following matters should be paid attention to when transporting man-machine without separating the vehicle:

1) The plant protection machine must be filled with clean water to clean the entire spray system before loading;

2) The vehicle should try to avoid closing the windows to keep air circulation;

3) It is absolutely forbidden to close the car windows and turn on the internal circulation of the air conditioner, otherwise it is very easy to cause inhalation poisoning.

8. Residence

The most important thing to note about the residence is that the plant protection drone should be stored separately and must not be placed in a sleeping room, otherwise it may cause pesticide inhalation and poisoning.

9. Sensitive area

Troops, special agencies, nuclear power plants, borders, political centers, and military exercises are all sensitive areas on the national security level, and their requirements for security and confidentiality are relatively high.
