HR8828 is an integrated micro-stepping motor driver with a built-in stepping meter, providing solutions for printers, scanners and other automated equipment. It is designed to enable bipolar stepping motors to work in full, half, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 stepping modes. The step mode is selected by the logic input MODEx. The output drive capacity reaches 38V and ±3.5A. The attenuation mode of HR8828 is programmable.

Decoder is the key to HR8828's easy implementation. Simply input a pulse through STEP to make the motor complete a step, eliminating the need for phase sequence tables, high-frequency control lines and complex programming interfaces. This makes it more suitable for situations where there is no complicated microprocessor or the microprocessor is overburdened.

The internal synchronous rectification control circuit improves the power consumption during PWM operation. The internal protection circuit includes: overheating protection with hysteresis, undervoltage lockout and overcurrent protection. No special power-on sequence is required.

HR8828 provides a QFN48 7mm*7mm package with exposed pad, and a LQFP48 package with exposed pad, which can effectively improve the heat dissipation performance and facilitate the PCB layout. It is a lead-free product, and the lead frame is 100% tin-free plating.
