University of California and Immerex Create VR/AR Project R&D Lab

The University of California, Berkeley, has recently entered into a partnership with VR equipment manufacturer Immerex, which will jointly build a new VR/AR project R&D laboratory.

The new laboratory will develop practical applications of VR/AR technology, such as using new technologies to train doctors and other related fields such as human-machine interaction, human cognitive models and robots. The lab will be built at the University of California Berkeley's Cory Hall and will be named the Immerex Virtual Reality Lab.

In this new lab, graduates and students can use the latest VR equipment to develop projects. Immerex will also provide a scholarship fund to support students in the VR/AR field.

These new industries will connect information, humanity and society.”

In addition, in January this year, Immerex also announced a partnership with CloudMinds Technology to share expertise in industrial resources, technology and personnel to improve its VR platform.
