Quantai Optoelectronic Technology R&D Center was officially established in Quanzhou (Nan'an) Optoelectronic Information Industry Base yesterday. The reporter learned that the Optoelectronic Technology R&D Center operates with reference to the model of the Taiwan Industrial Technology Research Institute. Dr. He Liwei is the chief executive of the center. Five experts and scholars will be resident at the R&D center of the Nanan Optoelectronic Information Industry Base. Members travel to and from the area on a regular basis.
Reporter: What is the motivation of Quantai Optoelectronic Technology R&D Center?
He Liwei: Probably at the end of February this year, we went to Nanan to inspect and learned that a high-tech park was being built here. Later, I participated in the photovoltaic industry project matching meeting, and we brought some projects to successfully connect with local enterprises. In the contact, we learned that in terms of high technology, Quanzhou has great demand for technology, equipment and talents, and Taiwan has matured in the field of optoelectronic information industry. This year, the country has successively introduced policies for the revitalization of the electronic information industry and support for the acceleration of the construction of Haixi in Fujian Province. This makes us feel that the West Coast of the Straits is a good opportunity to develop high technology.

He Liwei: The R&D center is divided into several projects, such as the photovoltaic industry group, the LED industry group, the nano-application group, the industrial efficiency application group, and the planning administrative group. In addition to research and development on the technical issues in the development of Quanzhou's optoelectronic industry, it also includes This piece of education mainly cultivates local professionals. In the future, we will build a platform for academic exchanges with local universities in Quanzhou, as well as academic exchanges between American universities and Chinese universities.
